Train enquiry website update

I recently noticed that Indian Railways have changed its train enquiry system once again. There have been imporevements in some parts and there are some shortcommings in the new layout. To make everything easy and ease the load on server, Indian railways have come up with three websites for diffrent purpose-

  1. For Berth Availability
  2. For Booking
  3. Live Train Running Status

National Train Enquiry System posted this status at facebook on September 3, 2013

A day out at Darya Ganj

I am always fascinated about going to Daryaganj, after all you got to see a hell lot of books, in Sunday book market of Daryaganj, but this time, my visit was a depressing one, partially because of me only..

I was at my friends’ Mayank’s home this weekend, in Gurgaon, woke up late on sunday morning, and it takes 2 hours to reach from Gugaon, sector 15 to Delhi Gate, Daryaganj. So, anyhow, we managed to reach there at 12 noon. This is really not a good time to visit Daryaganj, especially in summers, it was too hot to browse for books in open market, I was surprised to see, foreign tourist enjoying this kind of shopping.

I would recommend you to reach Darayganj by 9 am, vendors get seated over there at that time, crowd is also less, and you can easily get your favorite book at that time, without roaming around much under the bright sun.

Here are few quick tips if you are planning to visit Daryaganj Book Market-

  • Go only if you require novels
  • Academic books are available over there, but you won’t buy them coz most of them are very old editions and obsolete, and those academic books are also not much of a bargain over there.
  • Do carry a bag with you if you are thinking of a lot of book hunting.
  • Prepare a list of books, before heading over, as this will help you to be focused on particular books, otherwise, its like sea of books over there.
  • A water bottle is essential for every travel in summers. Do take it, don’t forget it.
By the way you can easily reach Daryaganj from your place by De-boarding at Pragati Maidan station, and taking a DTC bus for Delhi gate, 429 number bus has very rapid service from there.
At the end of day I came up with Previous year’s CAT Paper’s book and a rough notebook from there. Not much productive for me.. 🙁

Life in Delhi/NCR

I visited Delhi/NCR many times before, but now.., as I am living in this region my opinion about this region is all changed, this place seems to be a hell to me… So many people walking around at various public places, overcrowded stations, markets, hospitals etc.

Earlier I use to visit Delhi and checkout the various shopping Malls, Restaurants, Places to visit like Qutab Minar, C.P., Delhi Gate, Daryaganj book market etc. But now, working here in Delhi NCR made me realised the level of difficulty of lifestyle in this region.

Life in a metro

Here I feel so time bound with a congested schedule, that I don’t get any time to think about myself, or about anything else… The day starts at 7.30 am, making a target to reach Mandi House metro station by 8.30 am. Then, at 9.30 office timings start, and you become free at 6 pm, and then you realize that all of the day is gone, and there is no time for masti.., So, you are left with weekends for masti. Well… thats enough for me, but then, I don’t have any close and good friend of mine around with whom I can enjoy. So, you miss your friends once again..

Anyways.. Talking in general, Life in a NCR appears to be costly living and it feels like people don’t have time for themselves, and other’s emotional values.

P.S. :- I am looking for an affordable luxurious accommodation, in Noida, connected with Sector 125, and my budget is 7000-8000 INR. Even after my daily day end research, I haven’t found anything productive so far… Sad smile

Back to the business

Well guys.. Last month was pretty busy, so could not find time to update my blog. But there are lots of things around me to share with everyone, like… I am now  working at Angelique International Limited, Noida. I joined this company on 15 June 2011. Since then, I was busy at my job, so could not find time to write on my blog.

The best part of company’s training was site visit, which was more of a picnic to me.. I had a lot of fun.., but at all the times, there seemed to be something missing, and then I get to know, it was all super fun because of my dear friends. These days I am missing my college friends a lot.. ( My love to all). But finally, a new life is waiting out there for me.., so.. lets see how this life welcomes me, and treats me. Till now, it was cool..! 🙂

Meanwhile, I did met some of my friends like Bharat, Nishant, Aditi, Pragati, Sugandha, Shefali, etc. even after THE END of college life, and felt joy inside to see them… 🙂
It will always be good to keep in touch with all the buddies.. So, don’t forget that I am living in New Delhi, whenever you are passing through here, I can always find some time out of my busy schedule to meet my friends.. 😉

For the last few days I was also struggling to get a new local Delhi/NCR number, but my SIM is still not activated, very soon, my near-dear friends will be receiving an update on their mobile phones about my new Vodafone number. 🙂
